Production Notes
PRE-PRODUCTION: A week before the shoot we lost our location. We reached out to many of the production teams that had filmed thesis project. Thankfully the group that shot their film a month before us gave us the contact to the owner of their film location. Our producer contacted the homeowner. Ironically he is a roommate with two Full Sail students, one of which was on our crew. That’s how we secured the location.
PRODUCTION DAY 1: On the first day on the set, a female jogger called the police because our equipment truck was parked on the same side of the street where she takes her morning jogs. The vehicle didn’t blog her path or the road. We explained to her that we had a permission to be there and that we were in accordance with city regulations. Luckily the officer on the scene confirmed our paperwork and said we were good to shoot and park in the area. That, however, did not stop her from calling the police a second time.
LAST DAY OF PRODUCTION: On the last day of our film shoot, we received lady named Faith, who lives across the street from our production location. She prepared homemade brownies and cookies for the entire cast and crew.
We also got a visit from Doreen Weese, another neighbor. The producer and several other crew members so spoken to Mrs. Weese on several occasions and she sent a card encouraging the crew to never give up on o their dreams. In talking with these lovey women we found out that Mrs. Weese was an actress and had played Mrs. Quagmire on the hit show Kenan and Kel, we will never forget their encouragement and kindness.
